The Proffitt Podcast
Taking a Break
Stepping away from something you've built for over seven years isn't easy. After 500+ episodes and countless hours behind the microphone, I've made the difficult decision to take my first-ever break from this podcast for the remainder of 2025.
The journey of content creation has been incredibly rewarding, but also challenging in ways I hadn't anticipated when I started this adventure. Week after week, month after month, year after year—this community has grown alongside me, and I'm profoundly grateful for every single one of you who's tuned in, whether you discovered the show last week or have been here since day one. This pause isn't a goodbye; it's a necessary step back to reevaluate, recalibrate, and potentially reimagine what comes next.
While no new episodes will be released during this hiatus, our extensive library remains at your fingertips. With over 500 episodes of the Proffitt Podcast plus three years of daily content from the Poddy Report, there's plenty to explore if you're missing our regular conversations.
Our YouTube channel continues to offer resources for content creators wanting to level up their podcasts, videos, email marketing, and course creation. And of course, I'm still reachable via email and Instagram—this community connection remains important to me even as I step away from the microphone.
Will I return in January with renewed energy or perhaps something entirely different? That remains to be seen. For now, remember what we've always said: keep it up—we all have to start somewhere. And sometimes, that includes knowing when to pause.

Well, for the first time in seven and a half years, I am officially taking a break from the podcast. Now, what does this mean? The rest of 2025. Will you see me again in January? I don't know. We're going to find out, because I've actually been doing a lot of thinking about this and the way that content creation has played into a larger part of my life has been a challenge at this moment, and I won't go into all the details now. Maybe one day, right.
Speaker 1:But I think that it was the right thing to do to inform my audience and let you know what's going on, because, I mean, y'all are my people and you've been following me, maybe for two days, maybe for seven years, right, like this whole journey, and I appreciate every single one of you for listening and for hanging out with me, week after week, month after month, year after year, and I just so appreciate this community that we've built. But I am it's time. It's time to take a pause. It's time to take a break, step away for a little bit, and then maybe I'll come back renewed, or maybe we'll come back and do something totally different whenever we're back, but the intention as of right now is to pause for the rest of 2025. So the last quarter of the year and then we'll see. We'll see what's next, but I did want to come on and let you know what's going on, so you won't see any new episodes. But, man, do we have so many episodes for you to go and listen to? We have over 500 episodes on the Profit Podcast alone. We have the Potty Report, which is still the daily podcast that I ran for three years, so if you really need some time to spend with me, you can go catch up on all those episodes as well.
Speaker 1:As our YouTube channel has so many incredible resources and content to help you with your content, whether it's your podcast, your YouTube channel, your email list, your courses. I mean it's all there. None of that is going away. So make sure you go check all of that out and we'll chat soon. Like I mean, I feel really itchy and uncomfortable even recording this, because this is not easy for me to do, especially because creating content has been a habit for me for over seven and a half years. So know that this is not easy for me to do, but it is. It's the right thing for me to do right now. So I'm here. You can still email me. You can reach out on Instagram if we regularly chat over there, but I just wanted to make sure and let you know what was going on. So there you go. That's all I have for you today. So, as always, remember, keep, keep it up. We all have to start somewhere.
